• WordPress comes with a Text Widget that allows the addition of a text box to sidebar or post. However it appears to allow only plain text and does not give the option of adding links or other features. Am I missing something? Is there an easy plug in that can make these more dynamic? Thanks

  • you can use any kind of html code in a textwidget;

    or use a plugin like http://ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/wp-editor-widget/

    Thanks – I installed and activated this. Looks like what I am looking for but I can’t get it to work. Can’t get the cursor to appear in the content box consistently. Can’t insert links. Tried running using IE 11 and then tried using Google Chrome. No luck either way. Any suggestions?
