 * My whole blog is new here. I’m doing OK at getting things set up, reading helps,
etc… I managed to set up a domain, host, download themes, plug-in’s, ect…. so
now this question just seems ridiculous… But I am using the dKret 1.9.3 Theme
and I am having trouble with a text widget. I put some information in a text
widget and need to change it, so I open the widget, change the information, x
the widget closed, and click save changes at the bottom of the screen. AND IT
DOESN’T work. I’ve tried it many, many times. What else do I need to do?
 * Also, I tried to download the widget king plug-in and it only opened with errors.
What is the current version? Thanks.

 * Could it have something to do with what you are trying to put into the box? I
think WordPress strips some things out like some HTML and JavaScript.

 * Well, it’s so wierd. I am just trying to re-type some regular text in the box.
It’s wierd that it won’t save the changes. I have even tried changing themes
to see if it would work in another, but of course it didnt’ matter.

 * Maybe a better way to put it is, can I change the content of a text widget once
   it’s entered?

 * In wordpress.com when I would change the info that I entered into a text widget
and hit Save Changes it would. Why is it not doing that in wordpress.org?

 * The only other thing that I can think of is to try and change browsers, but if
it worked before that shouldn’t matter.
Yes, you should be able to change the
content of a text widget. The method your using to do it sounds just like the
way I try, only it works when I do it. I’m still new to all of this myself. Don’t
know what else to suggest, sorry. Best of luck, Matthew

 * Well, the browser change did it!! I was using internet explorer and could make
no changes in existing widgets and could not add any new ones either. A change
to the Fire Fox browser seems to have resolved the situation. Thanks much!
