# Text widget issues

 * I am editing a theme and when I insert a text widget I have two problems:
 * 1) **the background color for the containing div and container disappears **giving
   way to the page wrapper background. I don’t understand why this happens at all.
   This seems to be the case only with the text widget as other widgets do not cause
   this problem.
 * 2) **Text does not wrap**. The only way I can get it to wrap is to use 
    tags.
   If not, it just goes on forever, spilling out of the div and even expanding the
   page width. Is this normal behaviour? I tried with another theme and got the 
   same problem. I tried adding padding, margins, borders and still no wrapping.
   I have seen tutorials in which text wraps automatically in earlier versions of
   wordpress. Was I dreaming?

   on your site – including some missing `</div>` tags that may causing, or contributing
   to, your problems.
