I then remove (Control-x) the oldest story on the home page to move it to “The Morgue” page (Control-v), whereupon I get the “The Connection was Reset” error. Sometimes the copy has actually loaded, despite the error message, but often not. * Sometimes on “The Morgue” page I get an error box reading: GENERAL 0 At:[http://vweisfeld.com/wp-admin/admin-ajax.php?action=proxy_atd&url=/checkDocument](http://vweisfeld.com/wp-admin/admin-ajax.php?action=proxy_atd&url=/checkDocument) * This whole process worked fine for 10 months. Now it takes multiple tries in and out of Firefox (most recent version). It might be caused by Jetpack. I’ve tried disabling Jetpack and that isn’t the problem, and all my plugins are updated. * Re your question about “one HUGE page” versus Morgue category, I cannot answer that because I don’t understand the significance of the question. My home page is NOT a blog, and I have a separate blog page (titled “first draft”). * Is the Morgue file getting too big; is that the problem? I looked at all the discussions you suggested (some I’d seen already), appreciate your trouble. * Let me reiterate: 1) web posting and changes to other static pages are unaffected 2) the problem ONLY occurs on “The Morgue” static page 3) I have not made any custom modifications to WP. It now works perfectly again. I hadn’t seen any WP advice that there is an upper limit on page size, but apparently, there is. * Thanks to everyone who’s tried to diagnose the problem.
