    Hello,

I just installed the newest version of wordpress on a website and I have an issue.
On “Add New Page” page, I used to have a drop-down menu to choose the template in the “Page Attributes” section. However, I do not see it here. The only options are “Parent” and “Order”.

I precise again that I have the last version of wordpress installed.

Was it removed? How can I associate a page to a template now?

    Thanks.

  • Hi. In WordPress 5.8, templates dropdown was moved from Page Attributes to a panel called Template.

Thank you for your reply, Jen. However I do not see any “Template” panel. I just have “Publish”, “Page Attributes”, and “Feature Image” panels. I also checked the “Screen options” and everything is selected.

    I found the solution.
For those interested to know, it was because I was working on one of the default theme (Twenty Nineteen). I installed a new theme and now the “Template” drop-down appears.
