# Theme breaks WordPress network

 * I have a WP network and tried to use the Blockpress theme.
    After use, the network
   settings were all reporting fatal errors, something like this:

 * All of my problems (except the occasional Gutenberg bug/limitation)
   were caused
   by having PREVIOUSLY installed starter themes from kadence and astra.Not sure
   if that’s related to your issue.Pretty certain that BLOCKPRESS is WAY out in 
   front (with greenshift plugin) for FSE themes.I did a review and a couple of 
   other support posts.Got back into wordpress as soon as I found BLOCKPRESS and
   i went as deep as i could understanding the new way of doing, with Gutenberg/
   blocks. What are now called “classic” themes seem to mess stuff up MAYBE.I dropped
   all my database tables and reinstalled…. smooth sailing from there.THAT SAID 
   YOU PROBABLY DON’T HAVE TO EVEN THINK ABOUT DOING THAT!!!!best wishes to all

 * Nope, I disabled the theme. But I really want to use your theme!

 * So many issues are a result of PERMISSIONS and FILE OWNERSHIP
   Interested if your
   WP Network is on a hosted CPanel type space, OR your own VPS or dedicated server.
   FTP uploading, editing etc etc. causes this, OR, the files/folders may be OWNED
   wrong or wrong permissions right after install. Depending.I regularly run command
   line CHOWN command and permissions set.Best wishes – interested – and pretty 
   certain not the theme?!
