# theme does not appear correctly

 * Hello, i got a problem with a theme. I downloaded a nice theme with GPL licence(
   [http://www.way2zenith.com/wordpress-themes/wildfire.html](http://www.way2zenith.com/wordpress-themes/wildfire.html))
   and upoladed it to my theme folder. It doesnt appear correctly. The only elements
   that appear are the background and a black frame. Can anybody help me out? It
   is because of the theme? Or the error lies in my server? What I am doing wrong?
   For your information: I deleted all white spaces at the top and the bottom of
   the php files.

 * I would recommend sticking to themes from the official repository: [http://wordpress.org/extend/themes/](http://wordpress.org/extend/themes/)
 * They are tested, likely to work, and should be free from malware and spam.

 * Thank you zoonini. Actually I am using a theme from the official repository but
   I don’t like it too much.
    I found another topic in the forum with similar characteristica
   [http://wordpress.org/support/topic/i-uploaded-a-template-from-template-monst-why-wont-the-template-show-everything?replies=2](http://wordpress.org/support/topic/i-uploaded-a-template-from-template-monst-why-wont-the-template-show-everything?replies=2)
   and another member suggest :”I found i had to extract the sources folder from
   the template and upload some widgets, as well as import the sql database file.“
   Could I modify the theme to appear correctly?

 * Does the default Twenty Ten theme work? If it doesn’t, then you could try:
    - deactivating all your plug-ins and reactivating one by one to see if one of
      them is the culprit
    - reinstalling WordPress manually
