 * Hi
 * I was wondering if any one can help me please.
 * I’ve got WordPress version 5.2.1 installed and when I click on Appearance the
   link to Theme Editor is not visible. I was wondering could anyone let me know
   how to make it visible please?
 * The weird thing is on another website we have it is visible….
 * Many thanks.
 * Best regards
 * Richard

 * Moved to Fixing WordPress, this is not an Everything else WordPress topic.

 * If it’s the same theme then that would be weird.
 * On the site that the theme editor link is not working, try installing this plugin.
 * [https://wordpress.org/plugins/health-check/](https://wordpress.org/plugins/health-check/)
 * Then while you are logged in, use the plugin’s feature to disable all of the
   plugins and set the theme to Twenty Nineteen. When you use the Health Check plugin
   to do that, it only effects your session only. Your visitors won’t see anything
   different.
 * Once that is done, does the link come back? If so, put the theme back, test,
   reactivate a plugin, test, another plugin, test, etc. until the theme editor
   link goes away.
 * That should help you find where the conflict is.

 * I’ve had the same issue today.
    TLDR: turning a plugin off worked for me.
 * After one of my websites got hacked and a malicious script was redirecting visitors,
   one of my attempts (trial & error) was to upgrade WordPress, along with all plugins.
 * In the end I fixed it, but in hampering with the versions I deleted a lot of
   the custom designs i did within the plugins/theme itself _(bad practice, i know,
   but then again so is filling your css with !important theme devs!!)_
 * What solved this for me was turning off my newly-installed security plugin (iThemes
   Security); for some reason I couldn’t find the plugin turn-off in Health Check.
