# Theme importing error

 * Hello. I am creating an offline-copy of our website. We were able to successfully
   create the database part of the site, but the content (especially the themes)
   is the problem. I have a copy of the web content and imported everything into
   the empty site. The site appears with one of the default themes, but our website
   uses a custom theme and the content doesn’t appear within this custom theme.
 * What am I missing in this process?

 * Ok, so if you use the default Twenty Fifteen theme, your content appears, but
   it disappears when you switch back to your custom theme?

 * Yes. That is correct. The company who made the site for us created the custom
   theme that connect to our database.

 * Hm, a theme that directly connects with the database? That seems weird.
 * WordPress should be connecting to the database, and theme just throws a skin 
   on it.
 * Do you still have contact info for the folks who built it for you?
