 * Dear all,
 * I have installed local via WordPress with Mamp.
    I have already set up a web
   server and only when doing my later research did I realize that it makes sense
   to work on a local level. That’s why I would like to get the whole thing up and
   running. Unfortunately I’m not able to upload my theme, there’s another link
   that says that the link has expired. I find solutions for the web server (but
   here at least I don’t have the problem). But on the localhost I have no idea
   what I can do to upload it.
 * My second question would be whether there is also a possibility that I can move
   everything I have so far on the web server (including theme) to the localhost?
   Also here I find mainly tutorials that only deal with the move from local to
   web. Unfortunately, there is no simple structured tutorial that I can follow.
 * I would be very happy about your support.
 * Friendly greeting

 * You can [use an FTP client](https://wordpress.org/support/article/ftp-clients/)
   to copy files from a remote server to your local computer. You use phpMyAdmin
   to create an export file of the WP DB. It is usually accessed through the hosting
   control panel. The export file will end up either on your local computer or on
   the server somewhere. If on the server, use FTP to copy it to your computer.
   Then use MAMP’s mySQL admin button to access your local phpMyAdmin. From there
   you can import the file exported from the server.
 * I’m not sure why you cannot install a theme. In any case, copying the theme’s
   files from the server via FTP will accomplish what you need. Learning to use
   FTP is an important site administration skill you should develop even if you
   could install themes the usual way 🙂
