# Theme Installation problem

 * I have installed templates via ftp. However they are not appearing on the back
   end. These are installed correctly and have read the read me files a number of
   times.
 * Could anybody help me with this?

   where are you uploading them to?

 * I am uploading the folder within a zipped file which I downloaded.
 * I am uploading the folder to the the themes folder
 * wp-content- themes
 * the folder is identical in composition to those themes which are visible.

 * I am having the same problem I think:
 * I recently added a WordPress server installation to my portfolio site to have
   a blog as well. Step one, of course, was to build a theme for my blog so that
   it matched my portfolio nicely. Now I have a theme that looks how I need it to,
   but I can’t seem to get it into WordPress.
 * I uploaded a folder of the files to wp-content/themes/[mythemename]/. Then, according
   to [http://codex.wordpress.org/Using_Themes](http://codex.wordpress.org/Using_Themes),
   I should be able to go from the Admin panel Appearance > Themes > “Add New Themes”.
   This seems straight forward, but Add New Themes just doesn’t exist. Anywhere.
