 * okay, okay … let me go ahead and head off any comments you may have regarding
   my issue with the most recent install of a theme i bought from templateworld.
   com. i know you will probably say “goes to show you buying into one of those
   WordPress template clubs” .. also, i know there are mixed feelings about template
   clubs, but if it can make my life easier and my client happy, and they like the
   theme layout for their use, the template club ideas works for me.
 * with that said, i am having some issues that i cannot seem to work out. i have
   a running demo on a webserver … [ CLICK HERE ….. ](http://www.refreshingideas.net/WP/)
   and while the posts work fine, the pages seem to have issues with the CSS. see
   what i mean by accessing the “About Us” page link at top.
 * does anyone have any suggestions as to what i need to correct to have the pages
   work as the posts? at first i thought it was the CSS, but the posts layout work
   fine. it is only having issues with the pages i create.
 * btw, i am currently using WP 2.1.

 * Look at your page.php file, the sidebar is in the wrong table cell it should
   be in the last table cell with the div id of right.

 * You paid for a theme, for a client, that presumedly is paying you? While I dont
   personally have issues with “template clubs” or whatever they are, I tend to
   take issue with ppl that are being paid to do a job asking for FREE help.
 * Why not take your issues back to wherever you purchased the theme?
 * Thats my .02

 * whooami,
 * my client is full aware of the theme i am using, and all i am acting is the middle
   man in installing the theme for their immediate use. my client is non-profit
   and i am honestly charging him the club price, and the modifications he is having
   me to make since he is not knowledgeable of PHP. i am not trying to act as though
   i designed this theme from ground up and charging him $500 .. when the membership
   on costs $75 …

 * I figured since your being paid to do this that you might know a little about
   web design.
 *     ```
       <!--left part end -->

       </td>
       <td valign="top">
       <!--right par start -->
       <div id="right">
       ```
 *  Your sidebar should go here
 * I wasnt suggesting that you were deceiving the client. Its a moot point anyway,
   as you appear to be getting your FREE support for a task that you are being paid
   to do.
 * Nice gig.
 * **whooami **–
 * I’m not necessarily advocating what cre8tive is doing, but a lot of people use
   Open Source for commercial and/or enterprise purposes. There is nothing wrong
   with it.
 * In fact, I’d say that people asking for assistance on these products isn’t wrong,
   either.
 * I mean, is that not one of the strengths of OSS? The fact that there is a robust
   community that supports it and helps it evolve faster than traditional commercial
   software?
 * If cre8tive wants to make a living out of doing this, fine, that’s his problem.
   At the end of the day, there is more to it than just tech-support.
 * If every Open Source contributor felt that they needed a pie from commercial
   users, then they risk alienating that segment of the population, which would
   not be a good thing (and which ultimately defeats the core purpose of such an
   endeavour).
 * What goes around comes around and all that.
 * this has been discussed ad nauseum.
 * Its very simple — you want to respond to posts from ppl that are being paid —
   please do. There’s nothing stopping you.
   out of doing this, fine, that’s his problem. At the end of the day, there is
   more to it than just tech-support.
 * I dont have a clue what the above means —
 * I DONT make a living out of doing this. I am also female.
 * Nobody ever said there is anything wrong with that per se.
    What the volunteer(
   read: unpaid) helpers here don’t really like – if you are doing a paid job and
   you are asking for free help…
 *  Sure. I’m not necessarily disagreeing with that sentiment; merely that to each
   his (or her) own.
 * Cheers.
