# theme not summorizing post

 * hi all so i have ran in to a small problem, i am using the “AnimeOnline” theme
   and i am trying to summarize the post rather than showing the full post which
   i have changed the setting in WP to do so but the theme still shows the whole
   post, any one know how to fix this?

 * The setting you changed almost certainly is one for your RSS feeds – not for 
   the site itself. Have you tried using the `<!--more-->` tag in your posts where
   you want the post teaser to end?
 * Unfortunately, your chosen theme is not released under GPL. Official WordPress
   policy states that all plugins and themes that are publicly released are required
   to adhere to [http://wordpress.org/about/gpl/](http://wordpress.org/about/gpl/)
 * So we would not be able to assist you with any theme modifications. I would also
   strongly recommend that you read [this article](http://www.chipbennett.net/2010/12/10/only-download-wordpress-themes-from-trusted-sources/)
   and consider changing to a theme from a reputable source asap.

 * Hi the <!–more–> tag worked fine don’t know why i did not try that to begin with
   ahah.
 * as for the theme i know its best to use one under the GPL from a trusted source
   but unfortunately most don’t fit in to what i need them for and i have full access
   to editing the theme to a small degree. if i find a better one under the GPL 
   i will be changing but for the mean time while this site is just for testing 
   ill keep it like this.

 * You just need to be aware that we will not be able to help you with any theme
   issues here. If you haven’t read the article at the link I posted above, please
   do. Your particular theme supplier has been adding some rather naughty things
   to their themes.

 * yeah i will have a read throught it soon, and like i said i only need this for
   a test type of thing for my NVQ at this current time and i will be changing theme
   once i am ready to make the site public.
