# Theme php editor not saving changes

 * When editing one my the theme php files, i make the changes, press “update” and
   then i checked the webpage and the changes were applied correctly. BUT after 
   about 1-2 min the circle next to the update is still spinning and then the page
   reverts back to what it was before i made the change. and i get the error message:
   `"
   Something went wrong. Your change may not have been saved. Please try again. 
   There is also a chance that you may need to manually fix and upload the file 
   over FTP."`
 * below the theme code box.

   is not able to make a connection back to itself to check if the PHP edit caused
   an error. It seems this request is timing out, and because of that, the change
   gets reverted. Is your site behind a proxy or some authentication scheme that
   would make it difficult to connect back to itself?

 * Also, who is your hosting service? We may be able to ask them about issues with
   loopback connections. This seems to be a problem with specific services.
