theme problem, not loading / mac / safari, ie

i just downloaded wordpress software yesterday and have been pulling my hair out trying to understand why the default theme doesn’t load. the page looks so ugly. i am looking at it with safari 3.1.2, ie 5.2 on a mac os 10.4.11.

some background info: i have a non wordpress site http://www.lisaskim.com. i then added a directory in the public_html directory called lisadannywedding, which has all the wordpress files.

so when i login to cpanel or look at the structure via my ftp client, i login to lisaskim, then open the public_html directory, then open the lisadannywedding directory.

any advice?
