 * I’m building a site using Sequel and ran into an issue. I have it set to only“
   feature” posts using a given tag. The problem is, it’s displaying every post
   as a featured post. How do I get some posts to NOT show as “featured”? I thought
   that’s what the tag was for?

 * Have you set the tag in the Customizer >> Featured Content section too?

 * Zulfikar,
    Thanks for the reply. I did set the tag in the featured content section
   within the customizer. I have 3 posts tagged with the tag set in the featured
   content settings and 1 post without that tag, yet all 4 are showing in the featured
   section scroll.

 * OK cool.
 * Number of posts to show set to 3 or is at the default 6?
 * If its set at 3 the try this – remove the tag from the tag box by typing in none
   and save. Exit the customizer and check site – there should be no posts in the
   featured content unless at least of them is marked as Sticky.
 * If that is case then go back in to the Customizer and change the tag back to
   the original and save – now you should have the set number of posts in the featured
   section.
 * If the issues still persists please link to the site and I’ll take a closer look
   to see if I can spot anything that might be throwing things off.

 * Zalfikar,
    After changing the number of posts to 3, then setting the tag to “
   None”, saving and exiting the customizer, then returning to the customizer and
   setting the tag back to the chosen tag, it appears to be only displaying the
   ones I wanted displayed! I have changed the number of posts back to 6, and it
   is still working as it should! Thank you for your help!

 * Zalfikar,
    I’d love to chat with you off these forums about how you did a couple
   things on your “sample” site. Maybe you could shoot me an email at “terribletim68
   @ gmail”?
 * Thanks,

 * This did not work for me but the opposite did at least remove the featured posts
   entirely and get back to square one ~ remove the tags from the posts and then
   set the featured content to “featured” — it can’t find or pull any featured posts
   and does not pull the rest of them anymore either.
