 * Hi,
    I understood that if I don’t update the version of the theme my website
   is open to hacks. If so, what can I do if I want to avoid the update? Thanks,
   Sharon

 * not all updates are security updates – what theme are you talking about?
 * creating and using a child theme is a way to allow updates without interfering
   with customisations; [http://codex.wordpress.org/Child_Themes](http://codex.wordpress.org/Child_Themes)

 * Hi,
    I use the twenty10 1.2 and asked to upgrade to 1.3 which I rather not. Thanks,
   Sharon
