• There are better plugins for SEO out there , and most important not spammy and not bloated as Yoast is,

There so many years that people are asking when you deactivate the plugin to remove all yoast data from db as this is adding more trouble on new seo plugins.

Also yesterday there is one more time that yoast had a critical error with wordpress sites, and this is not the first time and shows the real face of pure development and bloat of this company.

    Never again Yoast

  • Hi @funkycss,

    Thanks for your review.

We are sorry to hear you’ve been experiencing problems with Yoast SEO.

As you correctly pointed out, uninstalling Yoast SEO doesn’t delete the plugin data from the WordPress database. This is to preserve your SEO data and plugin settings in case you decide to install and activate the plugin at a later time. We see that there can be users who may want to delete the plugin permanently and don’t want to mess up with deleting data directly from the database. We’ve recently created a feature request in our plugin repository to add an option to easily delete the plugin data from the database. Our developers will consider the request when planning updates.

On the other hand, we know how concerning it’s when a plugin update causes an error on your website. We’d like to have more information about the error you encountered. If you’re getting a different error than the one described in this bug report (which will be fixed in v16.0), we’d appreciate it if you could create a new topic in the plugin forum. Our support team will look into the issue and assist you further.

    Thanks!
