# Time difference problem

 * My server and I are 15 hours apart (because our local web hosting companies plain
   suck so I had to sign up with one in North America) but when I tried to adjust
   the time difference on WP, I got a “time_difference is outside the valid range(-
   13 – 13)” error. Is there any workaround to this? Any help would be very much
   appreciated.

 * well i assume my server is in the states. and i am myself in india. i made the
   corections as related to GMT and WP shows time fine.

 * i meant to say. did u try adjusting the clock with the GMT? that works in my 
   case…

    There is a ‘patch fix’ for this problem that changes the (-13 +13) to(-
   23 +23). See this link for the patch, and further explanation of the problem
