 * I was going through my logs a while back, and noticed that a large proportion
   of my bandwidth is taken up by a few WordPress files, namely prototype.js and
   effects.js.
 * I have been serving these files and a few others using GZip compression in PHP
   and have noticed a huge decrease in my bandwidth. Page load times are also decreased.
 * If anybody is interested in adding GZip compression to javascript files, css,
   html, php, or an other text file I have written a short tutorial on my site:
   [http://lonewolf-online.net/computers/knowledgebase/php_reduce-wordpress-bandwidth-usage/](http://lonewolf-online.net/computers/knowledgebase/php_reduce-wordpress-bandwidth-usage/)
 * I hope this can be of use to others as well!
 * Regards
 * Tim
