• Hello people, Keep doing great!

I have a question regarding the title tag.

What is the difference between the title tag I put in my Home Page/ Blog page etc, using Yoast plugin, and between the title tag I define In WordPress (Settings -> General -> site name)

If I am using Yoast to determine my Home page title tag, what should I write in the WordPress settings?
What is the WordPress title tag settings used for

    Thanks!

Typically, you write whatever you want in the header (if you’re using that line in your header) and the default for pages you don’t override with Yoast.

So should I just leave the default settings and just use my SEO plugin to override those?
Or should I also define the same title tag and meta description to the WordPress settings, just in case?

    Thank you for your reply.

I’m mainly referring to the WordPress setting.
What happened to them if I am using Yoast/rank math? the plugin overrides the default settings, so they are become “worthless”?

Not worthless. If your theme uses the title tag in the header, it should appear there.
