TOC box and content alignment

    The TOC box looks odd when it is flush left; i would prefer it to be centered. But the actual TOC list looks odd when it’s centered and I wouuld prefer it to stay flush left.

    As far as I can tell, I can’t center the box without also centering the text in it. Is there a way to align them independently?

    I can center the heading independently.
