# Toggle Caption on/off

 * I would like to request a button to toggle the Caption on or off in the image
   upload. There are many, many times I don’t want the caption on an image but would
   still like to have alternate text. If I could append the alternate text without
   it also being used as a caption that would save me valuable steps.
    Right now
   I am using the tiny-mce extended extension and after I have placed my image in
   my post, utilize the image button there to add alternate text.
