Add-Meta-Tags is an ever evolving project. Nevertheless, updating to the latest releases is entirely optional.
I highly recommend finding a release that works well for you and stick to that release.

A little search led me to the Block Plugin Update plugin. Perhaps you should give it a try.

The release and tagging commits are available in the development log for anyone to check.
The releases that introduce new features are not that often. Sometimes, a bug is discovered and I have to make a bugfix release. This is how it works.
However, if you are willing to thoroughly beta test the releases before they go public so as to reduce the need for bug fix releases, please let me know.

I can understand Fabio’s frustration about the frequent updates, but unfortunately there is very little I can do about it. Development has to go on and new releases containing bug fixes, improvements and new features have to be rolled out as needed. Since the development takes place in my free time, there might be times that updates are frequent and times that updates are rare. This is how it is.
