# Tools/Network feature doesn’t appear

 * I’ve had this version working on my local dev machine (under XAMMP) with no issues.
   I then did a clean install on my server (the domain has never had WP installed
   before) and all was well. I added
 * `define(‘WP_ALLOW_MULTISITE’, true);`
 * to my wp-config.php and uploaded it to the server but the Network item doesn’t
   appear in the Dashboard/Tools menu.
 * Any ideas? If you need any further info please ask.
 * btw, I’ve had WPMU running on another domain on the same server for ages with
   zero problems.

 * Problem solved. I went back to RC1 and it now works.

 * It’s actually just something in the copy and pasting of that item. I just had
   the same issue. You have to re-type it instead of copy and paste.
