# Trackbacks / Pingbacks – WP 2.5

 * When trying to do trackbacks they do not post right away. I have to unpublish
   the post and re publish it. Then the trackback will show up on the other blog.
 * Is there something that can be done to resolve this issue. Both blogs are WordPress
   2.5. Thank you

 * Instead of republishing it, try looking at your blog instead. Trackbacks and 
   pingbacks execute through WP-Cron, meaning that they’ll run the next time the
   blog is loaded and wp-cron runs. This can take a minute or two.

 * Ok I will give it some time. I have had a few people not have it happen for a
   few hours.
 * Is there something that I can run in crontab that will cause it to check every
   hour or so?

 * There should not be any need to check it every hour or so, and it should get 
   sent after just a minute or so.
 * Are you doing future posts or something? Those won’t be sent until the post appears.

 * Incoming trackbacks are not working on my blog at all after I upgraded to 2.5.1.
   Any ideas?
