 * After posting a new blog page/post, I always use validator.w3.org to verify.
Lately, they have been flagging this as “Info”:
 * “Trailing slash on void elements has no effect and interacts badly with unquoted
   attribute values.”
 * Can you please remove the slash “/>” and make it like this “>” for these html
   elements:
    <meta, <link, <input, <img.
 * I know it’s not an error, but the more of these “Info” comments I can remove,
   the better it is. Thanks.

 * I should also add these “warnings” too: type=’text/javascript’ – no longer required.
 * Thanks

 * Trailing slash on void elements has no effect and interacts badly with unquoted
attribute values. It has been deprecated for years.
 * “Can you please remove the slash “/>” and make it like this “>” for these html
   elements:
    <meta, <link, <input, <img.”
 * I agree. The slash should be removed in anything that will end up in an html (
   or html-amp) page.
    i.e.: .jpg” />

 * For the love of all that is Wholy and Validated, please stop adding the trailing
slash. We, who use the great Validator in the cloud, will be in your debt for
   ever. [https://validator.w3.org](https://validator.w3.org)

 * If you want to get this in front of the core devs, post a ticket at [https://core.trac.wordpress.org/](https://core.trac.wordpress.org/).
