# Transfer failed, http error, error code:429

 * Hi everybody ,
    When I tried the feature “Auto Migrate” (Prod to staging..) I
   just met this error : “Transfer failed, http error, error code:429”. It occured
   right after the backup file is created on the Production server, and just a few
   seconds after the sending of the file to the destination dev. server is initiated.
   Issue with the Prod. or Dev. environnement ? What do you think please ? Do you
   have any idea ?

 * The ‘HTTP 429 Too Many Requests response status code’ indicates the user has 
   sent too many requests in a given amount of time (“rate limiting”).
 * So our guess is that the target site has this rate limit or the source site is
   blocked.
 * Please check it.
 * Alternatively, you can use the ‘WPvivid Manual Transfer’ option instructed in
   this [guide](https://wpvivid.com/get-started-transfer-site.html).
