# transferring website and wordpress database

 * So, I’ve tried to transfer a website, and I have successfully done so on text.
   annarpack.com however, on dev.petfeedster.com I cannot log into wordpress. I 
   have updated the mySQL databases to have the site url and the home url the same,
   but on dev.petfeedster.com, it creates a constant redirect loop, so I changed
   the home url to [http://www.dev.petfeedster.com](http://www.dev.petfeedster.com)
   and now its working.
 * I don’t know if I should be trying to replace wordpress files via ftp or if I
   should be trying to work with the mySQL database. I don’t know where to go from
   here because I don’t know why it works on test.annarpack.com and not on dev.petfeedster.
   com.
