The documentation can also be used to add more translated strings to other languages for example Hungarian. Then you can keep the po and mo file safe in the special location setup by Loco Translation plugin. Honestly, I cannot imagine, why is so large problem to grant Poedit compatible pot file, since Poedit is the market leader software to translate WordPress related plugind and themes.
