Translation not working

Hi. First of all, thanks for this plugin.
I previously installed this plugin in a website and it worked find, but now, I am migrating a website and it doesn’t work in the new one:

When I clic on a flag, a # is added to the URL, the browser goes to the top of the webpage, but it remains in the original language (English).
