# Translation still showing as ‘work in progress’

 * Hi,
 * I added Lingotek to my existing blog and tried to translate some pages and posts.
   However, after a day, it is still showing ‘work in progress’ icon.
 * I thought it would be quicker as this is done by machine? Could you advise how
   long it takes normally?
 * Or, have I done something wrong?

 * Normally, it takes less 1 minutes, but actually, there is problem with lingotek
   and some (or all) users of lingotek can’t use translate machine.

 * Lingotek currently uses Microsoft Translator for machine translation and machine
   translation is not working because there is a problem between their API key and
   Microsoft that they are working to resolve. That best solution for your situation
   is to set up your own account with Microsoft Translator and receive your own 
   API key (pick the free service: [https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/hh847649.aspx](https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/hh847649.aspx)).
   Once you have done this, send them the API key and they will configure your account
   to use it. Below are the instructions to set up an account with Microsoft Translator
   and get your own API key.
 * 1. Go to [https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/translator/getstarted.aspx](https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/translator/getstarted.aspx)
   and follow the steps for setting up Micosoft Translator Text API.
 * 2. When subscribing to Microsoft Translator, be sure to select the Translator
   Text API.
 * 3. Once the subscription process is complete, you will be assigned an _this is
   italics_ API key.
 * 4. Please send this API key to [support@lingotek.com](https://wordpress.org/support/topic/translation-still-showing-as-work-in-progress/support@lingotek.com?output_format=md).
   To find the key, log into Microsoft Cognitive Services.
 * a. On the side navigation, select All Resources.
    b. Then click to select your
   account. On the right, select Keys. c. Copy the Key included on your account.
 * Send the key to [support@lingotek.com](https://wordpress.org/support/topic/translation-still-showing-as-work-in-progress/support@lingotek.com?output_format=md)
   to have Lingotek Support add your MT subscription to your Lingotek account.

   get in the stuck state anymore. Your content should go through the translation
