 * Hi,
 * I would like to receive a message at regular intervals about which updates are
   available (WordPress, plugins, themes).
 * I have made the following settings:
    [https://drive.google.com/file/d/16-I0KFY14us3G96pddc4PrdTLPHzelPX/view?usp=sharing](https://drive.google.com/file/d/16-I0KFY14us3G96pddc4PrdTLPHzelPX/view?usp=sharing)
 * However, I do not receive any e-mails.
    Does anyone have an idea what I am doing
   wrong???
 * Thanks
    Daniel
 * PS: I have tested it with “Posts published” and it works very well.
 * The page I need help with: _[[log in](https://login.wordpress.org/?redirect_to=https%3A%2F%2Fwordpress.org%2Fsupport%2Ftopic%2Ftrigger-available-updates-wordpress%2F%3Foutput_format%3Dmd&locale=en_US)

 * Hi [@junkle11](https://wordpress.org/support/users/junkle11/),
 * are there updates available? 🙂
 * If yes, and the plugin doesn’t send an email still, here’s a quick troubleshoot
   guide:
 * 1. Please go to Tools -> Health Check and confirm there are no errors with WP
   Cron
    2. Go to Notification -> Settings -> Debugging and activate the Notification
   log. Validate if anything is caught in the log (no email from notification will
   be sent if this option is active).
 * Are you using the latest version of Notification plugin and WordPress?

 * Hi [@kubitomakita](https://wordpress.org/support/users/kubitomakita/),
 * yeah, I have activated the latest version of WordPress and Notification. In the
   meantime I receive E-Mails, but not in 5 minute intervals. They come randomly
   during the day (~ 3 Mails a day)
 * Actually, I would like to receive E-mails “Every Month”. So I’m not sure if the
   notifications will arrive every month. So I wanted to do a “5 minute interval”-
   testing.
 * This is the backgorund of my question.

 * Ah I see! Because the plugin is reling on WP Cron and it gets triggered by the
   page view, it’s not accurate. The more website traffic the more accurate it will
   be.
 * You could change WP Cron to Server cron, there are plenty of tutorials out there.
 * A few hours delay having a monthly schedule shouldn’t be a big deal 🙂

 * Hi [@kubitomakita](https://wordpress.org/support/users/kubitomakita/),
 * great 🙂
    If I set to monthly schedule, when will the first mail arrive? Immediately(
   in near future) or in one month?
 * Thanks

 * Great question! But I don’t know 😀
 * Everything depends on your WordPress Cron. You can install our [Advanced Cron Manager plugin](https://wordpress.org/plugins/advanced-cron-manager)
   for a moment to see when the `notification_check_wordpress_updates` event will
   be triggered.
