# Trouble installing theme

 * Hello,
 * I am new to WP and am trying to install the new wordpress theme “Heatmap Adsense
   Theme 2.5.4.” However, I am not able to do this and receive an error message 
   when I attempt to install the theme directly from the website:
    ** Downloading
   install package from [http://wordpress.org/extend/themes/download/heatmap-adsense-theme.2.5.4.zip](http://wordpress.org/extend/themes/download/heatmap-adsense-theme.2.5.4.zip).
 * Download failed. Could not create Temporary file
 * Does anyone know why this is or what I can do to fix it?

 * I don’t know this theme, but the first thing you should do is ensure that you’ve
   set the permissions correctly for uploading.
 * Ensure that you have set the ‘wp-content’ folder to 777.

 * In your FTP software, right click on the ‘wp-content’ folder and then select 
   Permissions from the menu that appears.
 * This will bring up a new screen, and you’ll see a number in there, change that
   number to 777.

 * Hi Horror UK,
 * Thanks you, that did make some changes. I was able to directly download the theme
   from the website. However, when I attempted to “activate” the theme, I received
   a message stating that the the theme was broken and that I would be reverted 
   back to my default theme.
 * However, now when I attempt to visit my site, all I see is a blank page.
 * Any ideas on what is going on? Thanks again!

 * To get rid of the white screen, go into your FTP and remove the theme you uploaded.
 * you’ll find it in:
    **_wp-content/themes_**
 * It may have been a bad upload, so you could try it again, or if the same thing
   happens, you could manually upload the theme, see if that helps.
