# Troubleshooting a plugin

 * Downloaded and installed plugin “wp-table”
 * went to activate it and… “Plugin could not be activated because it triggered 
   a fatal error.”
 * Okay… is this a known problem with wp-table and wp 2.2, or does it perhaps have
   something to do with the fact that I’m theme’d to Vistered Little 1.7.4?
 * What’s the appropriate technique to find out where this is failing?

 * Never heard of wp-table. A link would help.
 * Have you checked the webserver’s error logs?
 * Does it say it’s written for wp 2.2?
 * Have you checked the author’s site to see if someone has asked for help in a 
   comment and been provided an answer?
 * Was there anything in an included docs that stated that you had to do something
   to set it up first?
