    Hello stickyau,

Those notices reference the MailChimp integration feature, which is actually part of the premium version of the plugin. The ww.wp.xz.cn forums are meant for questions about the free version of this software. As such, please contact us directly by email or visit our website (https://www.fivestarplugins.com), and we’d be happy to assist you in using the premium version.

It may be a premium feature but the files are obviously installed with the free version which is what I am using. So the notice is generated regardless of which version you are using

    Hi sticky,

Sorry about that. I thought, given the notices, that you were using the premium version, which were not allowed to discuss here. In that case, could please let me know exactly on which screen you’re getting these notices and the steps I can use to recreate them (e.g. did they come up right away as soon as you activated the plugin, or was it after changing a specific option, etc.)?

Simple notices, however, should definitely not be causing any kind of blank or white screen, as they don’t usually have any effect on the functionality of the plugin. With that in mind, we’d really appreciate being able to recreate this on our end, to make sure there isn’t a bigger issue related to this.

    Thank you!

At the moment I get white screens for the site & admin (Nothing in page source) as soon as the plugin is activated – I had to turn on debug to get the notices.

I am aware that a notice should not cause a Critical Error but so far I have been unable to find anything else in the logs to explain it.

As soon as the plugin is deactivated or removed the site functions normally

    Cheers

    Hi sticky,

We’ll be working on an update in the next couple weeks, in which we’ll also be testing for any new notices like this, so we can correct/remove them. In the meantime, I still don’t see how a notice can cause a site crash. If there’s anything else in your site’s PHP error logs that might indicate a different problem or error when our plugin is activated, please let me know, so we can look into it.
