# Unable to login after change http to https

 * Hi there,
 * Okay, I know I made a mistake and I can’t solve it myself.
    The question isn’t
   about the selected blog, but I can’t select another one.
 * So the problem is:
    I wanted to secure the website. After following some steps
   I found on the internet, I changed the name of the website: I replaced http for
   https. Immediately I got logged off and couldn’t log in any more. I tried to 
   reset the password, but this did not work.
 * Any thoughts on what I should do?

 * Did you go through the process of installing an SSL certificate for your site
   before changing the URL?
 * If not, you might restore your database back to a point before where you changed
   the URL. If you don’t have a backup, you might contact your host for support 
   to help you.
