Thanks for reaching out @ithub4u. This is an error that can occur when migrating your site if the old site was still connected and not reset before moving, as these site records remain on the Site Kit service. Given you’re unable to reset the plugin from your old site now that it’s migrated, please follow the steps below:
- Visit your site settings (Settings > General).
- Change your site address (URL) and WordPress address (URL) from https://asherajewellery.com to https://www.asherajewellery.com
- Press the save button.
- Attempt Site Kit setup once more after logging back into your site.
If all works as expected, we can then try to revert back to the original URL, using the same approach as the above, but this time removing the www prefix you added previously.
Let me know how you get on with the above. Should you encounter any issues, we can perform some additional checks and may need to request a check on your site records on the Site Kit service side. To do so, please share your Site Health information. You can use this form to share privately if preferred.
Filled in the form that you have provided in your reply, thanks a lot.
@ithub4u Thanks for trying the steps above and sorry to hear the issue wasn’t resolved. I will review your Site Health information so thanks for sharing that also.
Please could I also ask you to try running through the troubleshooting steps here and confirm with me if you encounter the same issue while in troubleshooting mode with just Site Kit active?
If you are still facing this issue after the above and I don’t see anything standing out from your site health then we may need to request a check on your records. I will await your response on the above.
I managed to solve the issue – Tools > Available Tools > Reset Site Kit
Thank you for your help! 🙂
@ithub4u Excellent! I am delighted to hear the reset solved your issue. Please don’t hesitate to reach out in future if you nee any further assistance.
