   the delay!
    …for some reason, advices not sent emails when someone open a new
   topic.
 * …when you save, the checked box still checked, then you reload and it is unchecked?
   or when you try to save, the checkbox always is unchecked?
 * Can do you try one of two of this things?
 * – deactivate other plugins and try again
    – open javascript console and look 
   for some error (on chrome: menu > more tools > developer tools > console tab 
   > errors pane
