 * Hi, I’m getting this error on my wp-admin/plugins.php page. Running 2.7, can’t
   upgrade because of plugin compatibility issues.
 * I was wondering if anybody had any idea why I might be getting the error. It’s
   in full below.
 * Fatal error: Call to undefined function set_transient() in /home/weareman/public_html/
   wp-admin/plugins.php on line 285

 * thats a clear sign that you dont have all the files uploaded or “installed”, 
   if you prefer.
 * use your FTP client, and manually upload the files.

 * also, 2.7.x doesnt include the transient stuff — that wasnt even introduced until
   2.8..
 * so it sounds like you may have both 2.8 files and some earlier version of files
   on your site.
