Unending login loop

When I try to log in to my dashboard, I just keep getting bounced back to the login page – no error messages, no timeouts, nothing, it just won’t go past the login.

I’ve logged out, cleared cookies, closed and restarted the browser at least a dozen times. I’ve tried it in a completely different browser, and on a completely different computer.

I’ve changed the password twice. I’ve deliberately tried the wrong password to see if I’d get an error message, and I do; when I use the correct/current password, I just get bounced back to the login screen.

Any help would be appreciated, but it should be noted that I am not very savvy (I had to paid someone to install WordPress for me because I couldn’t figure it out) and I’ll need the simplest, most step-by-step explanation possible… as if you were talking to a second-grader, perhaps.
