 * Help! I am not a web coder, so any basic instructions you can provide are appreciated.
 * I am getting the following error after a plugin update: Parse error: syntax error,
   unexpected T_FUNCTION in /home/ohiowes/public_html/new/wp-content/plugins/wp-
   maintenance-mode/includes/classes/wp-maintenance-mode.php on line 873
 * I can’t tell you exactly what version WP I am running since I can no longer view
   or login to the website. It is likely 4.6.X. as I have it autoupdate.
 * If nothing else, is there a way to disable the plugin through my host cpanel?
 * The page I need help with: _[[log in](https://login.wordpress.org/?redirect_to=https%3A%2F%2Fwordpress.org%2Fsupport%2Ftopic%2Funexpected-t_function-error-2%2F%3Foutput_format%3Dmd&locale=en_US)
   to see the link]_

 * …and then I thought about the version PHP I am running. I just changed it from
   5.2 to 5.4 and all is well!

 * [@netfusionstudios](https://wordpress.org/support/users/netfusionstudios/) Yes,
   the plugin needs PHP 5.3+. Also, a plugin can be disabled if you rename or remove
   his directory (via FTP) from `/wp-content/plugins/`.
