 * With the upgrade WP 3.5 that lets make galleries without being uploaded to the
   post, I would like to uninstall the plugin, but not sure, it is safe just disable
   it?
 * What happens to the images with multiple posts?

 * you can uninstall the plugin safely, the images will remain and the association
   on the database just the association on the fron-end will disappear
