Uninstalling VideoPress

We have made a decsion to remove Jetpack from our main site. When testing, we noticed that embeded VideoPress videos disappear from the pages and cannot be seen when editing the site. Is there an outlined process on a graceful way to uninstall VideoPress and ensure the video file are stored locally on our server?
