 * Many thanks for sharing. It looks like you’re using Cloudflare on your site, 
   with the issue similar to that reported in another support topic. I’ve created
   a [GitHub issue](https://github.com/google/site-kit-wp/issues/2560) so we can
   investigate this further.
 * While I look into this and perform some troubleshooting steps from my side can
   you try the steps below, which would temporarily deactivate your Cloudflare plugin:
    1. Install and activate the [Health Check & Troubleshooting](https://wordpress.org/plugins/health-check/)
       plugin.
    2. Navigate to “Plugins > Health Check & Troubleshooting > Troubleshoot”.
    3. From the same screen click on the “Available Plugins” tab at the top right and
       then click on the “Enable” option next to “Site Kit by Google”
    4. Attempt to setup Site Kit once more
