# Unknown Error (code: site not found).

 * I just installed Site Kit on four of my websites. It was quick and easy on three
   of them, but on the last one I’m getting an error. It says: Unknown Error (code:
   site not found). Then it prompts me to “Redo the plugin setup” – but when I click
   that button, it sends me to [https://sitekit.withgoogle.com/](https://sitekit.withgoogle.com/)–
   and says “Site not found” – I have tried uninstalling the plugin then reinstalling
   it. I used the recommended trouble shooting plugin, even with the default theme
   and only the Site Kit plugin, it still gives me the same error.

 * The “_site not found_” error you’re facing typically indicates that when trying
   to communicate to set up the plugin once more, it’s no longer recognizing your
   credentials, instead it’s using credentials from a possible previous setup. We
   can in these instances request a check on your site records on the Site Kit service
   but before doing that, could you please try performing a Site Kit reset by going
   to **Tools > Available Tools > Reset Site Kit**.
 * If you still encounter this issue after resetting which is possible, let me know
   and we can request a check on the records for you and get those updated if needed.
