# update database? (version 2.1.2)

 * Hello, I am in need of help.
    I updated all of my wp installs to 2.1.2 and 1 
   of them gives me an ‘update database’ page. I get this page for the wp-admin 
   page.
 * How do I update a database??
 * I click on the link and nothing happens.
    This has been for a full day and night
   and I am now into the 2nd day of this…

 * Have you tried running the upgrade.php script again?
 * In the `wp_options` table in your [database](http://codex.wordpress.org/Database_Description),
   the `option_name` equal to `db_version` should be set to 4773.

   the update database simply looped back to the page that told me I needed to update…
 * It turned out I had a Firefox add-on/extension that was in conflict — Redirect

    Dean- I tried your solution 1st. Because I do use
   Firefox. Well much to my suprise I went into IE and updated that page in just
   a few seconds *lol*
