# Update emails broken links (https)

 * Just got the usual notification that my site has been updated…
 * “Hiya! Your site at [https://www.mysite.com](https://www.mysite.com) has been
   updated automatically to WordPress 4.6.1.”
 * The problem is mysite doesn’t use https. So links in the email don’t work.
 * Got the same email for all my sites. All links in emails don’t work.
    Tried asking
   for a password reset email and the links in that worked fins with a http link,
   so something wrong with just the update email?

 * To start troubleshooting, try:
    – Flushing any caching plugins you might be running,
   as well as server and/or [browser caches](http://www.refreshyourcache.com/). 
   Not just your browser, but any op cache or content network cache as well [such as Cloudflare](https://support.cloudflare.com/hc/en-us/articles/200169246-How-do-I-purge-my-cache-).–
   deactivating ALL (yes all) plugins temporarily to see if this resolves the problem(
   plugin functions can interfere). If this works, re-activate them individually(
   one-by-one) to find the problematic plugin(s). – [resetting the plugins folder](http://codex.wordpress.org/FAQ_Troubleshooting#How_to_deactivate_all_plugins_when_not_able_to_access_the_administrative_menus.3F)
   by [FTP](http://codex.wordpress.org/FTP_Clients). – switching to the unedited
   default Theme (Twenty Sixteen, etc.) for a moment using the WP dashboard to rule
   out any theme-specific issue (theme functions can interfere like plugins).
