# Update error

 * I just got a notice asking me to upgrade to WordPress 3.1.2. But when I try, 
   I get this:
 * `Fatal error: Out of memory (allocated 29884416) (tried to allocate 3981793 bytes)
   in /homepages/46/d356731644/htdocs/wp-includes/class-http.php on line 1420`
 * How can I fix this?
    I have 1&1 Home.

 * I tries the .htaccess, but got a 500 error. the wp-config file hack doesn’t change
   anything.

 * I did the wp-config to 32M, then disabled plugins. It worked.

 * No problem. 32M is still a little low, so you might find yourself hitting the
   same problem again further down the line. If you can, try increasing the memory
   allocation to 64M.
