 * This plugin doesn’t work anymore.
    The widget is no longer shown. Hope you can
   fix this.

    I just tested with the latest version of WordPress and BuddyPress(
   2.9.4) and it is working fine.
 * Here is the output I see

 * Can you please check if you have
 * 1. Notifications component enabled(from Settings->BuddyPress->Components)
    2.
   The logged in user has a notification. By default the widget won’t show if there
   is no notification. You can change this and make the widget visible by updating
   the settings and checking “show when there are no notifications”
 * Please check and let me know.
